Fresh Air Meets Fresh Produce at Old Town North Farmer’s Market

If you’re in search of a way to eat healthier while also supporting local businesses, you’re going to love the Old Town North Farmer’s Market. As of this year, the growers present at the market are only allowed to sell what they actually make and farm themselves, with no products sourced from other manufacturers or purveyors. This means everything you get will be super local!

Each week on Thursday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the market takes over the Montgomery Park parking lot and turns into a market wonderland. It’s perfect for an after-work visit to grab fresh groceries, and also grab a bite to eat as there are a few vendors selling tasty pre-made food ready to be enjoyed. If you are hungry, you absolutely have to make a stop at Machu’s Kitchen and Paella for tasty South American fare or Ana’s Twist for Ecuadorian-inspired ice cream treats. Maybe both? Other than that you’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables from the farm stand or tasty cured meats and bacon from Porkstork, and so much more. It does get canceled on rainy days, so just plan accordingly!
