Spring is around the corner, and you can take advantage of the nice weather with Mount Vernon by Bike, Boat, or Bus! Mount Vernon by Bike, Boat, or Bus takes you on a one-of-a-kind tour to George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Choose between cruising down the Potomac by riverboat, pedaling a bike along the scenic Mount Vernon Trail, or hopping on a luxury shuttle down the National Park Service’s George Washington Memorial Parkway. Feeling extra adventurous? Mix and match on the way and back! All tour tickets include tickets to the estate. If the riverboat sounds your style, dates run daily from April to October. The boat departs the Alexandria Marina at 10 a.m. and departs the Mount Vernon Dock at 4 p.m. Rather bike your way? Choose the self-guided, eight-mile-long tour-each-way bicycle option, available daily from April to October. This option requires a 24-hour-advance reservation. Lastly, the bus option is available Saturdays and Sundays between Memorial Day and Labor Day, departing Alexandria at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and departing Mount Vernon at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Don’t pass up your chance to see history in a new way with Mount Vernon by Bike, Boat, or Bus!
